Artist Statement
Natalia’s artistic research explores the intersection of love, traditions, nature, and art, creating a harmonious framework that shapes her worldview. Through her art practices, she examines cultural narratives, emotional landscapes, and memory, bridging personal and collective identity.

Her work functions as a vessel of cultural heritage, engaging in discourse between past and present. She employs a research-based approach to address artistic and societal issues, evoking emotional responses—resonating with childhood nostalgia, a deep connection to home, admiration for nature, and reverence for tradition.

Nature, for Natalia, is an unaltered form of art and a conceptual foundation of her creative inquiry. She captures fleeting yet meaningful moments, translating the poetry of everyday life into visual expression. Ukrainian traditions, proverbs, and folklore play a crucial role in her work, allowing her to reinterpret historical symbols and infuse them with contemporary significance.

Her methodology is rooted in continuous exploration, interdisciplinary experimentation, and critical engagement with artistic conventions. She deconstructs traditional frameworks, integrating mixed media, natural materials, and layered textures to challenge the boundaries between tradition and innovation. For her, art’s essence lies in its conceptual depth and emotional resonance rather than formal perfection, often favoring symbolic representations that invite open-ended interpretation.

Simplicity remains a core principle of her practice. She believes profound beauty exists within the ordinary, using her work to evoke nostalgia, awaken deep-seated memories, and critically examine overlooked cultural and artistic elements.
